A Flash animation or Flash cartoon is an animated film which is created using Adobe Flash animation software or toon boom and often distributed in the .swf file format. It can be created in Flash or with other programs capable of writing .swf files. The term Flash animation not only refers to the file format but to a certain kind of movement and visual style which, in many circles, is seen as simplistic or unpolished. However, with dozens of Flash animated television series and countless more Flash animated television adverts, Flash animation is enjoying a renaissance.
Computer Animation is mainly 3D. Computer animation (or CGI animation) is the art of creating moving images with the use of computers. It is a subfield of computer graphics and animation. Increasingly it is created by means of 3D computer graphics, though 2D computer graphics are still widely used for stylistic, low bandwidth, and faster real-time rendering needs. Sometimes the target of the animation is the computer itself, but sometimes the target is another medium, such as film. It is also referred to as CGI (computer-generated imagery or computer-generated imaging), especially when used in films. e.g: Sherk, Finding Nemo, Garfield the Movie (Garfield was CGI), The Incredibles, and more!
